We may be getting a Dog soon and the question was raised today as to whether we need Insurance for it.
This would be in relation to it harming any livestock or what have you. We don't expect this to be the case but wondered if it may be mandatory!
Many thanks and over to you!

Insuring a dog is a very good idea and if you contact your home insurer, it can be added to your existing policy. If it causes an accident, worries lifestock or bites the postie, you are responsible.
Civil liability insurance is compulsory if you own a catagory 1 or 2 dangerous dog. |

Thanks for that.
It's actually a Guide Dog so should be well trained but it's best to be safe and sure.
Once again. Thanks. |

| You can also get medical insurance such as Santé Vet - if the dog in question is a lab there may be health issues later on in its life that it is as well to be prepared for. |

| We have Sante-Vet for our Parson Russell and it has paid for itself 100x's over in the last 4 years....active dog=accidents...all totally covered minus small deductible. Also covers some well care visits!
