Hi everyone, I am looking for information. I know there is an English fair in/near Mayenne each year but because I live below Le Mans I don't see or hear about it until it is actually about to take place.

I have written a book which I am considering publicizing there, is this event suitable for that type of thing?

Can anyone give me contact information, where it is actually held and date[s] it is on this year?

You have probably thuoght of this but have you explored self publishing on amazon? Apparently even fairly well established authors find this financially rewarding.

As for Euro Mayenne - i have only been once but it seemed more like a crafts fair crossed with property sales!

My children's book has already been published and is on Amazon UK, France etc. It was just that being English, living in France, having written a book about animals, smallholding and France I am trying to think of new ways to publicise it, the normal route of going down to your local bookshop or library and offering book signings is not really an option so I wondered if a euro fair might be a good idea.

I belong to EURO MAYENNE,and the fair is usually November time,and if you want to try it as a way of advertising,then I think it should suit you,as if your book is about life in France written from and expat angle,then George Wests books do well,and eveybody is always looking for a suitable Xmas pressie at the fair..Do go onto their web,and find a contact number,and maybe you will find it good advertising for yourself and your new book. The fair usually gets at least 1500 people going through the doors..

EuroMayenne Fayre is usually held around the first weekend of November and I think it would be an excellent way to display your book. There are many.many different types of stalls and, as it is so near Christmas, people are always looking for something special.. I think the stalls go very quickly so would suggest you get in touch with EuroMayenne soon if you are seriously considering it.,,
